New US registered nurse looking to work overseas.

Published

Hello all, This past may I graduated with my bachelors degree in nursing and have passed the NCLEX exam to become a registered nurse. I have been working on a general orthopedic/urology/trauma unit since september, and plan on leaving with a little less than one year of experience.

I am wondering if there are any programs, fellowships, organizations, agencies, etc., that are able to link new registered nurses with overseas opportunities. The top locations I would like to go are Greece- or New Zealand/ Australia. It would also be great to find any orientations to ICU/OR/ED anywhere overseas. Part of why I went into nursing was to travel, and meet new people while still learning. I am a 22 year old male nurse that is excited to learn more about any opportunities in the areas I mentioned. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou for taking your time out to read this- have a great day.

Hi and welcome to the site

There may be exchange opportunities but still would have to meet the country's requirements for foreign trained nurse. You could enquire with hospitals where you want to go and see if there is an exchange opportunity and also check with the country's embassy to check what sort of visa you will need
