New to travel Please Help

If you dont mind me asking which company are you travelling with? I have been looking into a few RN Network, American Traveller (Both which pay rates seem lower than most) and also NurseChoice (pay is good but limited amount of freedom where to travel) Also I am looking into travelling in the South East what is the pay rate down there? I was tld from the recuiter not to expect more than $25/hr with no shift differential  I almost fell off my seat. I am making more not travelling and from what I understand FL is not one of the better paying states.

As I sort through these threads, I read a lot about "stipends," and "see what the company pays for," and "you can make much more money per hour if you don't let them pay for housing." I also read a lot about this and that being taxable. I'm completely lost and would appreciate anyone's help in understanding how this works...the money end of it. So, is it better to let them pay for housing and have a lower pay rate or not let them pay for anything and make like $50/hr? Thanks for reading this, and hopefully it'll all make sense soon!

Get yourself a cup of Joe; and relax while researching and reading through the many posts on this and the other Forums. Most, if not all, of your questions have been answered on the Board. Try performing a Search on the BB (top right yellow toggle)

You may want to look at the Entrepreneurs in Nursing Forum for a higher pay rate where YOU would be responsible for the taxes and EVERYTHING associated with treating Nursing as a Business. Here is the link here on AllNurses:
