New Travel Agency

I have recently started my own nursing travel company to travel myself out the small, local hospitals.  Some hospitals require a skills checklist and competency assessment.  Is there a company that provides the necessary assessment and checklist for the Emergency Department I can subscribe to so proof can be provided to the hiring hospital?

@Baleb091, maybe our esteemed travel agency guru @NedRN will be kind enough to answer this for you ?.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

Allnurses Travel Nursing forum may have advice.

I was able to obtain from HR my competency assessment when hired by new critical care temp agency in mid 80's.

Just to mention, my esteemed guru stipend is late this month.

Crappy skills checklists are all over the internet and easy to find on dozens of agency websites. I could go on for a bit to expound how they became crappy and how difficult (and dangerous) they are to use for travelers and tedious for the poor NM who have to dig through multiple pages of ambiguous skills items. No doubt there are companies you could pay for very similarly bad checklists.

Great one page checklists are available for most specialties including ED on PanTravelers free. Sign up for a free membership, go to Downloads, and there they are! Also available are editable versions should you need to customize items. Room for your agency logo. The checklist has been validated with a number of ED nurses, and interviewing ED managers. No stupid stuff on them.

I'd be happy to shortcut PanTravelers and email you copies, but you won't be able to PM me until you get some minimum number of posts on AllNurses.  I have also created a blog on how to create a single traveler agency a number of years ago that may be of interest. While now quite an old blog, the fundamentals haven't really changed over the years. Should be the first hit if you Google my screen name and FAQs.
