Hello nurses, I just received a news from a friend who volunteered in Ospital ng Sampaloc. Since the issue of "volunteerism" is at hot seat in senate, Mayor Lim removed this volunteer program in all government hospital in Manila. I dunno if it's an ordinance (if it would be implemented for the whole city including private institutions) so it would be a sad news for those who got their slots to volunteer at any hospital in the said city.

I'm about to start my duty on January 17 but sad to say, the hospital had to stop our duty because of that issue. I have been waiting for this slot since November last year and to think we already had our orientation...

I Understand why some hospitals are offering volunteer and training programs for nurses because if they're going hire us all, where will they get the money for our compensation.

anyways I called some of the hospitals her in metro manila and good thing i found one offering a training and will start on march. Another month of my life is going to be wasted.

woah! who were able to have the exams at fe del mundo last december 28? any news if the results are already in? thanks.

Hello guys. Are there any new updates for hospitals where we could possibly apply as staff nurse or volunteers?

How come there are no more updates in this thread? This is so sad. It's either most of the followers have trainings or jobs already or almost all are feeling depressed with the situation nurses are in right now. :crying2:
