I am so glad I found this site! I just started school nursing full time (have only subbed before) in August and can say I really do love it. Of course I've noticed that school nursing comes with its own unique stressors, but it's the first nursing position I've been in where I feel that I have finally found my niche. I look forward to reading more posts!

That is awesome that you already feel like you have found your niche. Welcome to our playground!! :) I hope we can help you navigate your journey into the mad mad world of being "the nurse". Happy Happy Tuesday.
I hope that you will quickly learn to take full advantage of fun-themed days. This week we are celebrating homecoming week. I got to wear Minion pajama pants and a Minion "Trust me I'm a nurse" shirt . Love love love days like today. My hubs and daughter who both work here are dressed just alike...Minions. (There is something really funny about seeing the Principal walking around being the tough guy in faded overalls, boots and a bright yellow/green t-shirt). (I'll take that over a 12 hour, crazy shift in a hospital somewhere).

WELCOME this is my first year in school nursing also... no subbing just jumped in. I thought I was finish with "pediatric nursing" but I work with K-6 I graduated nursing school in 2002 and this is the first nursing position that i can honestly say I LOVE. I get so much info from this forum.
