New RN in Texas and LVN license still verifiable

I just passed the NCLEX and my RN is verifiable on the BON site. I am looking for an RN job and currently still at my LVN job. When I notified my practice manager of my valid RN license and asked who I needed to notify to have it updated in the system I was told that no one needed to be notified because I was still going to be working under my LVN while at my current office. I have not found anything on the BON site regarding this and have a call into them but am waiting the 5-7 days to get a callback but this does not sound correct to me. I know according to the state that I am held accountable to the highest level of education/licensure so I would think it would need to be documented that I have my RN license. Does anyone know anything about this? I don't trust my manager for multiple reasons and am trying to cover my ***.

This means they are only going to pay you at your LVN rate, you won't be promoting. many places do this, especially if they know that no other jobs are available. Start looking for another job now!

Yep, this doesn't have anything to do with the BON. All it means is that right now they are only planning to employ you in an LPN capacity. You need to look for an RN position.

It seems you are mixing licensure level with job role. Yes, you have an RN license and will be held to those standards. However, your job doesn't just automatically become an RN role because you now hold that license. Be cautious with this as when push comes to shove, you can end up between a rock and a hard place with what you need to do at your level of licensure and what your job status allows you to do.

I found a RN job and am starting the beginning of February. I feel like this could be a messy situation like y’all said and honestly think your LVN license should become inactive once your RN license is active.
