New RN, Need a Job! HELP

Published

I just graduated with my BSN and have just passed my NCLEX. I am currently working in a hospital, but not in a nursing capacity. I have applied at all the local hospitals but have been advised that I have to be hired as a new grad, but there are no new grad positions available. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Where are you located? It seems this is a problem in the Denver and northern front range area - probably b/c the local nursing schools have increased enrollment numbers in the past couple years. I was in the same situation when I graduated 2yrs ago.

I don't know if you would be interested but Poudre Valley Health Systems hires new grads at all times of the year. They have 2 hospitals in Fort Collins/ loveland. http://www.pvhs.org

Pretty sure UCLA NPI (Psych) is hiring and they are very good about precepting new grads. NPI has great benefits, wages and staffing ratios you won't find anywhere else in the west.
