Hello my name is Ron and I am new to the site. I recently passed my NCLEX and have now embarked in the process of looking for full time work. I live in Costa Mesa California and have applied to countless job postings and I keep encountering the same problem. It seems that all employers are looking for RNs with experience, yet there are very few programs designed to bolster the development of new nurses looking to gain this experience. I am willing to go anywhere and do whatever it takes to succeed in the career that I invested valuable time and money into. I am a male nurse which I thought might work to my advantage, I am also a veteran of the USMC, all I need is for someone to provide me with an oppurtunity. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank You, Ron

Check out New Mexico and Texas. Begging for nurses, good pay, low cost of living, and if I have to tell one more person this I may start asking for a commission!

i know the va isn't hiring (even us with military experience, i wasn't alone when trying) due to the budget. I would try specialties, LTC and offices (they are willing to train). Good luck and I hope you find something you love.
