Find the place you want to work, apply even though it says they want experience, go meet the hiring manager. Not HR, but the actual person who will make the decision. Put your face infront of theirs, just an introduction. Send a thank you for their time to see you, even if its just for a couple minutes. Call them back, go back to see them.
You have to make yourself stand out.
Hi QMarquinez! My friend got a job in a nursing home after he passed the exam last year but it's somewhere in Bremerton. I hope and pray you find one soon. :) I am planning to migrate to Seattle this year. I'm about to start my NCLEX application but I'm confused about the concurrency issue. If it's not too much to ask, can you give some tips regarding the application process. Thank you! :)

Hi! I'm a new RN living in Puyallup, Washington near Tacoma. I passed the board exam on Dec 2013 and haven't had any luck with the job search. Every postings need at least a year of experience. Any tips on how to land a job/interview in this area? Do I need to look for an RN Residency program? job on an LTC? I'm just really frustrated being unemployed and doesn't know what to do. I really need an advice. Thank you!
