New to the nursing...

Published

I am 18 and graduated high school in June of 2007.:balloons: My twin sister and I went to ECPI today to talk to them about the nursing program. We were going to go to NOVA to pursue medical assisting/social work/ nursing, but the nursing campus for NOVA is in Springfield. We both work full time at a daycare center, and were just wondering what everyone thought about ECPI.

My grandparents want to help us pay for school, they are willing to pay for two years worth.

Any information anyone could tell us would be great. We would be attending the Manassas ECPI campus, probably in the evenings starting on Feb. 14th.

The representative told me that classes are filling up fast, as they only accept 25 students and so we are eager to find out about the school. We are looking to go on possible Monday or Tuesday after work to register if we think it is a good thing to do.

How do they work payments at ECPI? Do they offer a lot in financial aid? We were quoted $24,999 for everything:uhoh21:... scrubs, books, parking, med supplies etc.

Do they pay for drug/background checks and stuff?

Do they have large sizes in scrubs? Both my sister and I are at least a size 30/32?

Please just any information about anything!!!

Since your location is Manassas, I'll move this thread over to the Virginia Nurses Forum with the hope of generating more responses. Good luck with your schooling!

They're accredited, according to the Virginia BON ... is this an LPN or an RN program? Seems awfully expensive.

NOVA also has an online program and a weekend program (includes Fridays, but not M-R). I don't know anything about ECPI though.

Good luck!
