HELLO EVERYONE, I AM A NEW NURSING STUDENT AND HAVE NOT STARTED MY CLASSES YET BUT, I AM VERY VERYNERVOUS GOING INTO MY CLASSES. IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE ME?
THANK YOU
Congrats on your choice and getting accepted!
I just finished, and just passed the NCLEX.
It was a long hard road, so be prepared for that. I went in not realizing just how much time and energy would be needed. I don't regret it though!
My best advice is to take A&P seriously--really learn the information. It is the foundation for so much of what you'll be learning in your nursing courses.
Get yourself a good pathophysiology book.
Make sure you don't just memorize information for your tests. Lab values (and symptoms of increases/decreases) and pharmacology (including teaching regarding drugs) is A LOT of information--easy to memorize short-term in small chunks for a test, and then forget about it. Don't do that. Really learn it, because you'll be tested on the info during the NCLEX.
Best of luck to you!!
