Hey friends,
I recently moved to CA but I took my NCLEX and got my license from TX. I applied to convert my license about 4 weeks ago now but still haven't received anything yet. I also applied for a temporary license so I could go ahead and start applying, but haven't heard anything from that yet either
I was wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and if anyone is familiar with the process and how long it takes?
Thanks!!!!

Like any other endorsement candidate you will have to fulfill the requirements of that particular state to which you are applying. Different states in the US have different requirements for licensure. California is one of the states that internationally educated nurses are having issues with as they requires concurrent theory and clinical as well as other requirements that might not be required in New York.

It's scary, isn't it? I tested in NC but am moving to GA, and I'm just terrified that I will miss all of my orientation dates and not have a job. I have an offer firmly in hand, but I can't start until I have a license. Just got my NC license number yesterday so I overnighted my application packet to GA, but who knows how long it's going to take them to process it? If it's not before July 22nd I won't have a job anymore, unless there's a later orientation I don't know about yet. Either way, good luck with your application! This stuff is so stressful I imagine I'll have a stress ulcer by the time I'm through with all of it!
