New Navy Uniforms

I know this is a very esthetic question for you all but just wanted to know your opinion. I see the Navy has new uniforms for enlisted, a new service khaki uniform and a blue BDU or NWU(which I personally like). What do you all think about them. For the nurses who don't wear scrubs I wonder if they will approve the navy BDU's for them????

I really like the new khaki uniforms - they look very sharp. And the Blue camo looks good. Would the blue camo be a nurse's equivalent of scrubs??? I've seen some navy nurses working the floor in the current khaki uniform, but these new uniforms look way too nice for dealing with body fluids....

I wander the same. I was thinking maybe the blue NWU's could be worn like in the army hospitals. ??? I wander how the new uniforms will affect us when we go to ODS?? Will we purchase the old one's then have to go right back and purchase new one's. ??

Man I think the old Kahki uniforms looked a lot better! The uniforms have gotten uglier and look cheap! All these years and now when I am close to officer the change the uniform!:0)

OP, I'm a USMC wife, but I know the nurse practitioners, etc., that we see at the naval clinic wear the service khaki, versus scrubs. http://www.new-navy-uniform.com/picture-nsu.html

I'm not really sure if they do something different for a regular floor nurse, etc. We have never been stationed anywhere that had a major medical center.
