New Moderator for Florida Forum

Hi all .... just wanted to take a moment to let you know that Brian has appointed me as the moderator for the Florida forum. I am excited and thrilled to play this role. It is my small way of adding back to allnurses.com. I have been a member since 2003 and love this board.

I am working on some ideas that are quite exciting and will hopefully be helpful for the members that frequent this forum. In addition to what I am working on, I would love to have some suggestions from you. What types of ideas do you have to stimulate conversation and topics that might interest the people that frequent the Florida forum?

Let me know by posting to this thread. In addition, if you are a lurker, I want to say hello and welcome to you. Sometimes making that first post can be difficult. You are not always sure what to say and afraid that yoiu might even say the wrong thing. I remember, as I was there once too. Please take the time to just post a hello note. I will be sure to say hi back as I am sure other members will.

I am committed to making the Florida forum one of the top traveled forums on the board and excited to be a part of the staff at allnurses.com. Please let me know what kind of ideas you have and I will be posting mine soon.

Thanks Jennifer ... I am excited to be moderating this forum and am currently working on some ideas to stimulate good, fun conversation for our Florida people. Hopefully I will have some cool ideas to post soon. Thanks so much for the congrats ... I am looking forward to a fun time here. :balloons:

I've been checking in on this forum for the past few months, since I decided to move to Florida. Will actually be there in October and can't wait!

So what's with the regular and premium members? I haven't heard of that.

Premium members make a donation to the site. It costs a lot to run a website and it's a way support the website. It's only $2.00 a month or $24.00 a year.

Thanks, 3rdshiftguy. I can't find anything about it on the site. The site owners should think about doing some advertising - maybe an email to all the members, and certainly a link on the key web pages. Or maybe I'm overlooking the obvious.....(I do that sometimes)

Hi Gail ... actually, if you look over the right hand side of this page, you will see an advertisement from allnurses.com about premium membership. It is scattered throughout the web site. Hope you decide to join. Let us know if you have any questions.

I found it, thanks! I had to scroll to the right side (it was off my screen) and then scroll down the column and there it was at the bottom. Hope the powers that be read this - I do think this is important enough to get front and center billing! I don't have time to join this morning, but will do it after work.
