Hey, just wondering if anyone out there could help me out with info via allnurses.com postings or PM about how it is to work for New Milford Hospital? I've been working in an icu for about 3 years, and we might be buying a house and moving up to the area. Any information would be appreciated....union versus nonunion shop, wages, how many beds their icu is, how it is to work for them, vacation, etc.... anything you could share would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Missy;)
Please, anything? Someone must have some info... I'd really appreciate it.

Hi Missy
I don't work for New Milford Hospital nor do I know anyone who does/has but I found some info on the benefits they offer. I've not seen the pay rate or how many beds their ICU is. Since its only an 85 bed hospital, I wouldn't think its too big.
Here is a link for the benefits offered:

and here is the home page link for the hospital:

I hope that gives you some of the info you are looking for.
Ct Pixie, I appreciate your links but had already checked the hospital web site. I guess I'm looking for "insider info"... Thank you.

Yeah, I kind of figured you had already checked their website, but thought heck, I'll give it a shot. sorry it wasn't very helpful. Hopefully, you'll get your requested info soon. Sadly, the CT Nurses Forum is very quiet most of the time.
I'll ask around to my friends who are Nurses. Maybe they know of someone who's worked in New Milford. I am on the opposite end of CT. I'm in the Southwest part of CT. (New Haven area) so my dealings with those who work up North are limited .

Wow, New Milford Hospital's benefits are extremely comprehensive. I would love to work for a small hospital like that! Best of luck to anyone applying there, you certainly would be making an excellent choice if you were hired there.
I already work in the New Haven area, and it would be interesting to see if their benefits are any better than what I have right now. My health insurance sucks.

What about working for Danbury Hospital? I hear only good things and great salary there as well.
Well, I'm looking for something a little bit smaller versus where I am right now, and I'm not so sure Danbury would be that size. It was very nice when I interviewed there several years ago though.
