Hello,
I just moved to Detroit from Pittsburgh PA. I was hoping for a job at a local hospital (DMC, Beaumont, Henry Ford or U of M) and couldn't get an interview. SO.... Ive taken a job at a SNF/TLC. I have 2 job offers and want to know which would be better experience to get into a hospital.
Option 1: Midnight in Milford, 11p-7:30am. 120 bed facility. Nice facility, staff seems nice, but i worry i won't get enough experience.
Option 2: Westland/Livonia facility. Day light 7a-3:30p. facility is outdates and staff didn't seem too nice. I think i could get time management skills, more patient and department interaction, but i fear i won't like the facility.
Both options have their pros and cons, and im willing to do either one, but now it comes down to what will do better for me in the future.
any advice??

Check UofM frequently, while hedging a friend job search last week there were several new grad positions, also because we are union you have to apply for every position even if it's the same unit and shift to be considered. GOOD LUCK!
