Published

I was not able to find a forum on this topic already so I figured I would start one. I am working on submitting my application for the 2024 cycle. Let's share our stats, interview dates and anything related to this school.  Good luck to anyone else applying.

Specializes in SRNA.

I have not applied yet but interested in this program

Current stats:

  • 5 years ED experience (Preceptor, charge, USGIV certified)
  • 10 months CICU (charge)
  • 3.54 (1st degree), 3.66 (BSN 2nd degree)
  • CEN, CCRN-CMC, BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • 1300 community service hours, 400+ volunteer hours
  • 17 hours CRNA shadowing

I'm planning to submit my application hopefully by November. Any tips on interviews etc etc would be greatly appreciated.
Current stats

  • 2 half ish years in ICU
  • 3.5 Science GPA, 3.7 general GPA
  • CCRN, PALS, BLS
  • 12 hours of shadowing
  • Attended a Diversity CRNA workshop

I forgot to put my stats.
GPA 3.6

2 years of ICU, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ccrn

40 Hours of shadowing, I've done some community services

I know there's a cohort of students that were accepted early this year around March but haven't actually began the program because the accreditation is still pending. With that said, would we then start in 2025 if accepted ?
I'm kinda confused

From what I know they are still waiting accreditation. I saw on the COA website that they visited nmsu this Spring and they are in process. IDK about this class in March. It wouldn't make sense because they didn't stop the first class. It's confusing

Specializes in ICU.

Applying tomorrow

stats :

ICU 6 years : Trauma, Surgical, Medical, Neuro

GPA 3.83 with some graduate courses

... also applying at another school.

I think it's a bit too much that they require shadowing experience from 3 different CRNAs.

Specializes in Emergency (CEN) and Critical Care (CCRN-CMC)_SRNA.

They say they "prefer" shadowing 3 different CRNAs but the only shadowing requirement they have is 8 hours minimum.

Exactly. What difference it will make ? It is what it is

Hi guys. Did you all manage to shadow 3 CRNAs before submitting your applications?
