Nurses Recovery

Published

Hi all ....

My Name is Tanya and I am fairly new to all this. I was caught diverting Dilaudid from work back in August. I was terminated and self reported to IPN in FL. This was devistating to me as I had the primary income and health benefits for my family (my 2 children have medical issues and see mult specialists). I only have myself to blame. The diverting was short term.....approx 6-8 weeks, and I have never used any other drugs in my life (not even as a teen). I completed my 6 weeks IOP and am in the job hunt process. It has been somewhat frustrating as I have always gotten every job I applied for on the spot. I am pretty sure I have a job now....just waiting for the final word on start date (upon completion of background check which is not a problem). My nursing license is clear and active according to BON as they know nothing of this. It is reassuring to hear I am not alone in all this.

Anyone else on the east coast of FL? Space coast area?

Hi Tanya - I just want to say Welcome! :)

And congratulations on completing a very hard task.

There are many nurses here who share in your experiences and can help you gain perspective.

Or just chat about other nursing issues, vent about frustrations, share about kids, etc.

I wish you the best!
