Hi to everyone. I am new to this site. I am from New York but plan to relocate in either Texas (Austin? San Antonio? Houston?) or California (Riverside County). What are the pros and cons of living in each state? My husband and I are both nurses but want to spend quality time with our 2 kids. Help anyone!

I am 24 years old and recently moved to Texas after being a lifelong resident of southern California.
Carefully research the cost of living in Riverside. Housing prices have appreciated greatly, and now Riverside County is rapidly becoming a very unaffordable part of California.
Austin is a pretty city, but has a slightly higher cost of living than San Antonio and Houston.

I live in riverside, CA and I can tell you that it is very crowded, the freeways are horrible, and it gets very very hot, housing and electricity is getting very expensive. There are very nice areas to live and work in-you just have to do your homework and discover where you and your budget can afford to live. Also if you don't want to be driving alot, there are a few nice areas to live in near all the hospitals.
