Hi everyone!
I just moved to Dallas a couple of weeks ago - I'm near the Presbyterian Hospital. After graduating from LPN school in Florida, I worked for 8 months in a hospital on an Oncology/MedSurg floor. Our patient ratio was 5-6.
Now that I'm here, I'd like to work in LTC and return to school for an LPN to RN transition.
Could you please offer some suggestions of good senior/nursing homes to work? Close, clean, and happy would be wonderful.
Also, I'm considering El Centro for my education. Any opions there would be good, too.
One more question - I'm guessing this is a regional term... what is a "TILES" nurse? I'm guessing that's the same as a floor nurse?
Thanks!

I attended a workshop at Presby last week. Isn't there a LT facility right across from Presby's main entrance?
