I am about to graduate from my LVN course in 2 weeks and take my LVN BOARD... but I am confused like seriously I don't know what to do now.
Shall I try to apply for a job as LVN or study for another two years to get my RN license??
What shall I do?
I want to work because I have learned so much from my VN program but the job market sucks at this time.
So i am here to seek some info. and suggestions
What do you guys think about the LVN to RN 30 units bridge program? anyone been to one of these programs and how was it? would they about to find a job and can you still to go a BSN program if you graduated from the 30 units non degree program?
Is it CA only??? so that means we can't find jobs in other states right??
I am a Californian

Graduating from a 30 unit option program provides you the opportunity to get an RN license that is only recognized in CA. You most likely will not be able to do this. Most, if not all, schools that offer the 30 unit option, warn that the program is only on a space available basis. There are never any seats available for people to do the 30 unit option.

A good option would be to get a part time LVN job and do the RN program. Some companies will work around your schedule if needed and hire you on as an RN. That way you can build your skills and it will not be such a shock when you go to become an RN.
Good luck!

I agree, that way you get experience and more prepared when you become RN

I am a relatively new LVN, had problems finding a job. now I have two part time and doing my pre-requisites. only have micro and physio to go... I would recommend you work part time and go to RN school... that is what i will be doing as soon as I get the Pre-reqs out of the way. Hoping to get into a comm college, cannot afford to go private.
