I just got my license at the beginning of the month, I have worked at a SNF and in a pediatric hospital as a CNA. As far as being a new LPN which would you recommend between a SNF and assisted living?

I have a few interviews lined up and so far the SNF and assisted living offers about the same pay and amount of hour (full-time) so that isn't an issue. I am mostly concerned about the patient to nurse ratio, where I would use my skills more, general atmosphere. I also know that all SNF are different and same with AL so I am just talking generally. I also have the chance to work at a hospital but the pay is about $3 less an hour and I am really looking to make as much as I can before I start an RN program in a year. Any advice is appreciated!!

Do you have actual offers yet?

No I have 3 interviews lined up within a day of applying though so I am just trying to get an idea heading into them. Just looking for thoughts and opinions.

Before making a decision, you need actual options. See who makes you an offer ...and if you get more than one, start comparing ratios, benefits, etc.

Good luck with your interviews!
