Hi, everyone.
I'm pre-nursing student from China, interested in getting ADN or diploma first.
Some of my friends are going to Graduate school after they get their BSN. As I know immigration applicants with Master's degrees are in EB2 category, and EB2 are current for all countries. Does that mean immigration applicants from the three countries who are NP or CRNA's are not affected by this new law? Since nurses still belong to Schedule A, with no Labor Certificate needed, does that mean they can still file I140/485 concurrently?
As everyone knows, Registered Nurse belong to Schedule A, but I am not sure whether NP or CRNA belong to Schedule A or not.

The new rules have just gone into place with only a few weeks or so notice. They can change just as quickly. I would not worry about any of that, you are talking along way off for you. Things are always changing here. Do whatyouwant to do as far as schooling, then go from there.
Nurses, right now, from China, Philippines, and India are currently not getting fast-tracked. They have to wait in line for a visa number just like any non-nurse. This is due to the large number of "technical" applicants from these countries, nothing else.

Hi everyone,
The new law will affect the nurese who are from China. Is it including nurses who are from Hong Kong too?

Not sure on that one, but Hong Kong is now considered part of China........
You would need to talk to your immigration attorney on that one.
Thank you for your reply

There essentially is a moratorium on nurses from the Philippines, China, and India. This has to do with the number of technical people that are applying for a certain number of positions. The nurses from the above mentioned countries are going to need a labor certificate now.........the laws may change again, just as quickly as they have gone into place..............only an immigration attorney will be able to give you exact details, as each case is different.
