New job but Drivers License and Nursing license do not match

Published

Hey,

So I am moving back to my home state and got a drivers license while I was out of state for nursing school in different state. I think I just messed up my residency and documents. I currently have a nursing license for the state I am headed to but have a feeling that my job offer is going to reject my documents now that I am watching their onboarding video and they said DL address and nursing license address must match.

Has anyone experienced this? Are they going to contact the board now? This is a stressful mess. All because I had to change my car insurance to out of state for nursing school.

I would think that exceedingly unlikely. Your documents not matching is easily explained by your situation.

Contact HR tomorrow and find out how they handle this.  Hard to imagine that this isn't going to work out just fine.

I appreciate that. My recruiter put me on a strict timeline to begin orientation on the 21st with a cohort so I’m just hoping it won’t mess anything up. Can you check out this attachment. This is their orientation video.

Weird requirement unless I'm misunderstanding. I got a license for a state I intended to move to months before I actually moved there. Then I got a job, moved into temporary housing, so yeah, DL didn't meet NL.

Usually if you provide supporting documents it's fine.

I don't know what regulations they would be talking about. Maybe they are talking about requirements to make sure the BON has your current address...but just being in between the steps it takes to get things updated doesn't constitute a crime (?)

Hope HR is able to clear it up for you quickly!
