New Lpn grad with no health care experience, having a hard time landing a job!

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hi everyone, I am a fairly new grad and I am having a hard time landing a job, it's been a little over a month sense I became license. I have done it all indeed, monster, walk-ins and I just came from a hiring event at a nursing home, which I was told that they were looking for on call Lpns and I don't have experice which I already knew, that's why I applied to work there. I have been applying and applying all over I would see openings but no calls to come in for an interview. my question is do anyone know of a place that will hire new Lpn grads in the middlesex area in NJ? Any staffing agencies that would place you in facilities, or LTC that will be willing to hire a new grad? I know for some time to land a job, but I was hoping for some leads or or suggestions.. Any help would be grateful.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Staffing agencies place experienced nurses to fill holes in schedules. They require no orientation and are ready to work upon arrival with just an overview. Staffing agencies are not for new grads.

There is one home care agency that will take new grads Lpn's and Rn's. Try Preferred Health Care

Have you tried research positions at medical schools? Google rbhs jobs and click the second link for Rutgers biomedical and health sciences positions. Click on search jobs and use lpn as your key word. Seems like most of them pay about 23/hr. Good luck!
