How is it to be an LPN in NJ

U.S.A. New Jersey

I am a new LPN student (starting 8/04). I just wanted to know what the job market is like in NJ for LPNs. Are their hospital jobs, how's the pay, what are the responsibilities, what can't you do?

Thanks

LPN's play a vital role in extended care facilities (i.e. nursing homes, assisted livings and home care). There are some in hospitals, but most major hospitals recruit RN's. That is not to say that you can't get a hospital job, but it may be tougher. One piece of good news is that if your are an LPN, going through RN training is much easier.... I did it that way and I believe it is the best way to go.... you will know more and be a better nurse in the long-run.... good luck!:)
