Hello,
I am an RN with 8 years experience. I have not done Acute Care hands-on Nursing for 2.5 years. I have several weeks to prepare for a travel HH assignment. I was wondering if there are any "must have" books for Home Health Nursing. I prefer not to get them for my Kindle.
Everything on Amazon is so outdated. Any HC Nursing Web sites to help me refresh? I know most of it will come right back to me, but just want to be prepared.
Many thanks,
Michelle

Are you talking about intermittent care or more like private duty/shift?
I would see 6-8 patients per day.

I have found that any book by Tina Marelli regarding home health is useful for both visit work or extended care. If you only obtain one: "The Handbook of Home Health Standards: Quality, Documentation and Reimbursement" revised reprint 2012. This is the popular "The Little Red Book" of home health. I also have a copy of her Nursing Documentation Handbook.
She has her own website if you have trouble finding her books elsewhere.
As PP said I also have the little red book. Can't say I've really used it as a lot of it is learning a you go BUT it can get you acquainted with terms and some of the guidelines for HH.
