Just out of curiosity, when a new grad is hired, does the hospital look at your grades?

In the vast majority of cases, the hospital doesn't give a flying crap about the grades you earned while attending the school of nursing. Their primary concern is simply that you are a warm body with an RN or LPN license who is ready to fill their staffing deficiencies.
Of course, exceptions always exist.

I think it depends on the facility and what you are applying for. Right out of school I applied to a large medical center and they wanted everything including official transcripts, although the looked at my transcripts more than me. The job I am at now was only concerned with me and never asked GPA or anything od the sort but is jsuta s large as teh place that wanted teh transcripts. Good luck on your search!

Nobody ever asked me for my grades, but they did want to know what school I had graduated from. My unit hired very few from a large pool of applicants, but the manager told me (when I asked later) that they look for nurses who are enthusiastic and would be a good fit.
