There is not enough information to give an answer. Which is most acute? What is out of control? What brought the patient to the hospital? What do you think? I am more than willing to help with homework but I need to know what you think and why so I can help you understand why.

Is this the order that you put them in?
I see that this is your first post here. You'll find that we are happy to help you with your work, however we will not do it for you. So if you could post your question, what you think the answer is, and why, we would be happy to point you in the right direction and help you fully answer the question.
So please reply with the order that you believe is most-least severe and why. We will help from there. :-)

I don't know if my post suggest that I am looking for someone else to do my work for me, but I assure you I am not. I just needed someone to point me in the right direction, to teach me what factors are important when prioritizing medical diagnoses. I was very skepticle to post from the start. My aunt assurred that the members on all nurses were very open mined, smart and very eagered to help students. I didn't expect a reply to be honest and I definitely didn't expect to be accused of wanting someone to do my work for me.
Anyway, thanks for the reply and have a blessed day!!

as esme said, you want to look at which are old and hanging around and which acute, which are worse and which are not, which are (or could be) the biggest immediate threat to health and which are less so. given that, what's your priority list look like now, and why do you think so? tell us and we can help you tweak it prn.

Many Many come here with the expectation that the homework will be done for them and for most of us who help students....we won't. We will guide, research, post links, give suggestions all to help you develop those skills of investigation that you will need in order to be a good nurse. No two patients are the same and you will need to know how to like a private investigator to find the answers you will need to best care for you patients.
Ashley is a very, very bright nurse and has a TON of information that is valuable and smart. She did not accuse you of wanting your homework done for you, but let you know what we needed to help you.
I'm sorry you feel slighted.

With all due respect, reading your first post it appears like you are saying "here is the homework question, tell me the answer." At least give your initial thoughts/rationales/etc.
On a bit of a sidenote, did they just give you 6 diagnoses with no other information and tell you to 'prioritize' them? There is no way to prioritize them without some more information about each. If this is there idea of a critical thinking question, shame on them. I can make an argument for each one of them to be the higest priority if I can 'what if' this question death...and that is a very bad practice for the NCLEX.
