LNA after 1st semester of Nursing school?

It seemed to be an interesting topic, but it lookes nice if you can ask the board of nursing in the state you are living amd i am sure they are going to provide you with a precise information for LNA license you requesting now. As different state has got different rules and regulations in thier requirements for....

Sorry, poorly worded question. I am applying for fall 2009 at a community college in NH. I was told that once you complete your 1st semester of school you can then work as an LNA...Just curious if this is true?

I know that at the community college I attend, thats the case. After you complete the Nurc112 class (which you take during your first semester), you are eligible to get your LNA license.

After your first semester, yes, you are eligible to sit for your exam for your LNA. To my knowledge, you do still have to take the state exam, as well as the practical exam. Also, after your 3rd semester, the same holds true for your LPN. Good luck on getting in somewhere! I thought you had already started?

Already started Nursing classes??? I got wait listed last year at Manch, but it has worked out for the best, by the time I am in a program I will only have my Nursing Classes! Thanks for the info everyone!

Just to comment on niko's post, you do NOT need to take the test for the LNA certification if you are obtaining the license through comparable education. You simply need to provide proof (either a letter from the school or a transcript) that you have completed the fundamentals course at your nursing school along with the application.
