Hi,
I am a 38 yr old black male who is contemplating a new career in nursing. I presently work for the State Office in personnel and it is boring and soooo unfullfilling. I have never done anything like this and sometimes question my ability to be able to do it and remember all those terms.
My mate has told me I would be very good at it b/c of my attitude. I just want to have a profession of meaning and fullfillment. Am I too late and dreaming or will I get what I am looking for?

To the OP, welcome! I started nursing school at age 45 and graduated at 46 (I went to an Accelerated BSN program)... left behind a lucrative (but insecure) software engineering career. It's hard work, but I love it most of the time. Good luck to you!
