the new graduate struggle of finding a job

Published

Yesterday was the worse day of my life. As a new grad no one wants to hire w/o experience but PSA Healthcare offers training for new grads...but I blew it! I failed the math quiz :( I know my math however, I got confused, I think I was so nervous and made a stupid mistake. I feel like crying. I'm not giving up, but I'm feeling really down on my luck.

You're not alone. It took me awhile to find that first one too. I was beginning to wonder if anyone would ever hire me. But keep pushing forward, one will come along. I think finding that first one is the hardest. Keep your chin up!

Dont feel bad. Being a new grad is hard b/c of the lack of experience. Here in GA PSA only post jobs for at least a yrs experience. Im a new grad too. Sent out resumes via fax and online to approx 30 different facilities/companies. Finally found a good paying position at a LTC. Chin up and dont give up. Hugs:)

Do not give up! I found a full time position as a new grad two weeks after I began my search. I got a list of all the LTC/Sub Acute facilities and assisted livings and drove to the first 25 in the counties closest to me up to an hour. I landed a job and four call backs! Keep pushing good luck!!!
