Use the Kaplan book for strategy, and the Saunders book for content.
I am a new graduate nurse looking for books that give examples and show how to chart nurses notes. If anyone has resently graduated and can give advice on studying for the NCLEX, let me know. I also welcome any advice in getting my new and wonderful career off to a good start. Thanks so much. Niknik
HEy there
If you do 3000 practice questions, you are almost guaranteed to pass. Get the Kaplan CD trainor, It has over a thousand *hard* questions on it. Do those and review. Remember, you will prob feel like you failed even though you pass. When you are charting, you should remember to note not just what was wrong, but what you checked that was right.
good luck
hi
i read and listened to the tapes at least once, i would find myself listening while i folded laundry or in the car and if i needed to review i would listen again. then i did the tests, i also bought a review book while in school that i used (pink and yellow i think) it had the funny pics you get with your power point notes in class, and at the end of every chapter there were 20 questions, i answered all the questions and did pretty good after the feuer review was done
good luck, just remember prioritzing and it will be the worst day except for the days following waiting to see if you passed, i was so positive that i failed that at 15 hours or so i was going online to see how to reapply to take the exam! 75 questions and 90 minutes,,,good luck
