New Grads/RNs without any work for almost a year now

I just want to know if they're still anyone aside from me who doesn't have any work yet.

Need some essential and helpful advice from all of you who have work. Greatly appreciate any comments or suggestion from all of you. Thanks in advance! :)

I am right there with you guys...been searching and applying absolutely everywhere since May and just one interview. I'm considering moving back to the Bay Area in California. Any news on RN jobs out there???

Job finding in CT is horrible. I have heard that in Houston they are hiring mainly new grads only. So you should be able to manuver to a job

Where on earth did you hear that? :confused: New grads are struggling to find positions all over Texas and in the major metroplex areas in particular. Houston included.

if you're a new graduate or without experience, you will have a hard time looking for RN job in the major big cities (houston, san antonio, austin, dallas).. but if you look at the rural areas, you'll have a big chance landing one. i was in your shoes 1 1/2 year ago.. i looked in houston, san antonio, dallas and austin, but no one was hiring me, until i looked outside of those cities..maybe 1 hour away or more

try too look hospitals outside the big cities, maybe you'll find one.. probably nacogdoches, lufkin, uvalde, brownvill, mc allen, harlingen. i know they are hiring new graduates..

you need to look outside houston in order to get your first RN job.. i just think you have to or you'll be jobless for a long time. if your goal is really to work in houston, then my advise to you since nobody is hiring you, go outside houston first, and if you get hired, get at least 1 year experience (or even 6 months), then apply again in houston when you have the experience..

Look in temple!!! there is a huge hospital here and they are forever hiring nurses, plus the nursing homes higher all the time!!!

SCOTT AND WHITE eventually they will own every hospital in central Texas
