Hello nurses
I just moved from California at the end of December to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, and found out that I had passed my NCLEX on January of this year. Before I left California, I took a shot at my NCLEX after a few tries, and I unexpectedly passed!
I have submitted an endorsement application with Virginia and all I have left for the application to be completed is for the California Boards of Vocational Nursing to mail a License Verification Form to Virginia so I can get my license here.
I have been looking for jobs online, and have submitted a few applications while waiting for the situation of getting licensed in Virginia to be completed.
I was wondering if there are any hospitals accepting new grads? ... possibly?
I am barely getting to know the area and it is kind of hard trying to find a job with no connections or not even knowing anyone..
Thank you, in advance!

I had new grad friends get hired from Sentara- Hampton Roads. Try there!
Thank you, so much, for replying :)
I didn't think anyone would come across this and bother to drop an answer!
So I didn't specify what license I have, but I have my LVN/LPN license.
(I'm still getting my endorsement application completed with Virginia, but California is so difficult when it comes to trying to contact them. So I have no idea how long it will take for my Virginia License to process.) So right now, I have my California license.
I did hear that Sentara hires new grads.
I also found on indeed.com a link to Sentara jobs for LPN's, and I clicked on it and there was an "Apply" link. Did your friends get hired at the hospital? or?
I've actually been out of school since August 2014.
Yes! Everyone in my class got a job pretty quickly. The job market here for nursing is great!
Was it for RN or LPN?
I've applied online, so far for my applications. I don't have a Virginia license in hand yet :/
