Hey everyone. I'm applying out of state to a VA hospital that is in the process of interviewing/ hiring new graduates for a residency. I have a few months of private duty nursing experience and a VA license by endorsement now. My goal is to secure a position before moving. I'm not really sure what to do in my situation and would like some advice.
On March 30 I received an invitation to interview for a new grad resident position. I emailed back stating that I couldn't interview in person b/c I am out of state, but would love to set up a skype or phone interview. She replied stating that we could possibly set something up for April 8 and that she'd get back to me. On April 6 I decide to email her to confirm that we have a interview on April 8 and asked for a time. She said that she that she has a high volume of applicants and that date probably wouldn't work after all, and that she'd reach out to me in 1-2 weeks.
On April 15 I get an email from someone new, saying that she was aware I was communicating with this other representative and that she was following up. Multiple representatives were working together to hire new grads. We set up a phone interview for April 22.
I did okay during the interview and at the end the interviewer stated that she would be forwarding me along for further consideration. She said I should expect to be contacted in a couple weeks for another interview.
I'm getting close to that second week and am getting nervous that I've either been forgotten about or that I am no longer being considered. I'm not sure if I should bug them again or wait, if I should call or email the first person who emailed me or the person who actually interviewed me, or what to say. I'm very inexperienced in trying to secure interviews, especially for nursing positions. I was thinking about emailing them both and asking if there was anything else that they needed from me to move forward.
Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?
Thanks!

Waiting for a call is hard. How far are you from the hospital? I understand the difficulty with interviewing out of state. Since it has been 2 weeks, I would call to inquire about the status of your application. I hope you get good news.
