I graduated in May and passed boards just s few weeks ago. I have my active KY license but haven't found a job here, especially as I want to work NICU. I applied at Cininnatti Children's and they don't have any new grad openings on the NICU, and I also need my BSN for that unit there. What other hospitals in Ohio have NICU's that might hire a new grad RN with 13 years LPN experience. I really want to work with infants and truely do feel this is my calling.
Any advice?

Hey Zoobyli,
I'm just wondering if you spoke to a recruiter at CCHMC about only BSN grads in the NICU? I work there as a HUC in the PICU, and I have never heard anywhere in the entire hospital where you need to be a BSN to work on any unit. In fact, there are several ADN grads in the PICU,and come next June, I prayto be one of them.
Maybe it's different inthe NICU, and I'm just unaware of it.
Just wondering.......
Thanks,
Pure
I think it is only in the NICU that they require BSN only. I personally don't know what a BSN grad knows more than I do except how to do research. I do plan to get my BSN, its just going to take time and $$$$
Well I got a nibble from University in Cleveland, wish me luck.
:up:Good Luck!!!!!
