Any new grad/inexperienced nurse-friendly states out there? Looking to relocate just to get a job. Cali is dried up for new grads.
What about South Dakota now? Especially in the Sioux Falls area. I'm keeping my options open as far as moving because I think now is the time to have an adventure and pick somewhere else to live. Wisconsin isn't bad for new grads (where I currently am) but I think that moving somewhere else might be kind of fun and my husband and son are totally on board!
I relocated to WV from MN for my first nursing job. MN seemed to be hiring experienced nurses over new grads, and I wanted the adventure too! Kind of a strange adventure, and yeah it was pretty hard, but my boyfriend moved here for a nursing job first, so that's made it a lot easier. At the beginning of the summer, there were lots of positions open, but now most floors have lots of new grads starting. Pay is $21/hr, but I'm here for the experience, and hopefully someday I'll be makin the big bucks somewhere else to pay off my gargantuous student loans.
