Do any of these facilities pay for your parking? I heard it is $24 a day to park-- is that really true?

st. Lukes has a special parking lot for their employess, you pay a $10 one time fee and the badge can let you in for free at the garage if you work after 6pm or weekends. St. Josepth's parking is $15 a month.

i haven't worked at st. luke's in several years, but the last i remember you pay a small amt for parking and you park in a lot near Old Spanish Trail then tail the metro rail into the med center.
but if you work at night you can park in the garage which is a huge time saver!

Texas Children's pay 24.50 for their GN internship. Nightshift differential is 4.50. There is weekend differential which I will tell you later. You have to work seven 12-hr shifts in two weeks, four in week 1, three in week 2. Parking is free at a remote lot at Greenbriar and Braeswood. Nightshifters get to park for free near the hospital. Benefits are comparable to that of any great company.
I got a nursing home offer for 27 dollars but I choose TCH because it's more aligned with my future goals.
Just to let you know, I got the two jobs through high-powered networking;). Make good attitude a part of yourself and network! There's no limit to what you can get.

Where did you focus on trying to network? Are you a part of any nursing organizations? if so which ones?
