Hello there, I am a new grad RN and I am searching for work on an Indian reservation. I currently live and recieved my license in CA, but I am willing to move out of state. I am searching every where and I have only found a few online that I applied to and got no response. Can anyone help me out with contacting reservations or what I should do to find this type of work?
The reservations are under-served and I want to provide healthcare to this population before I jump into a hospital. I appreciate your time, peace be with you

Many reservations are taking over their own hospital systems. Gila River in Arizona is an example. https://www.healthcaresource.com/grhc/index.cfm?fuseaction=search.categoryList&template=dsp_job_categories.cfm
EDIT: When applying to IHS it takes a looong time to hear a response.

I worked off an IHS scholarship (and grew up on a rez) and it might be helpful for you to know, reservations always prefer Native personnel and are sometimes mandated by their IHS contracts to only hire Native applicants. Especially nurses.
If you are non-Native proceed with much respect and caution. There is a heavy mistrust of non-Native healthcare providers in my culture. Do not exoticize Native people or treat them with pity.
If you want to serve Native people also be aware the majority of us live in cities now and not the rez. Urban Native people are even more impoverished and at risk than those on the rez. Do your research. Feel free to PM me for more info and education.

Try Wyoming and Montana. Crow, Arapahoe and Shoshoni populations.
