I have recently graduated and I have ran into a problem with my resume. Should I include references in my resume? If so, in what format? I have been searching for a few weeks and keep finding different answers, some say to include, others say to put "references available upon request, others say don't mention anything. I also do not have any professional or nursing related history so would it be more helpful to include my references? Any help would be great! Thank you!!

I've always either put "References available upon request" at the end of the resume, or omitted it entirely - generally the latter. Real estate on your one-page resume is valuable enough as it is - why waste two lines (one for the text, one to set it off from the prior section) on stating you have the references you're including elsewhere in an online application or the like when you can provide even more information about yourself?

Do NOT include refereneces upon request on your resume. It is now expected to already have those references lined up and ready to go. Have a separate page with the references contact info ready.

This is what we have been told also, to include them on a separate page and never write available upon request. Apparently it's something newer to not put this.
