Hi everyone,
I am a brand new Clinical Educator for our Er. In fact, all I have under my belt is orientation for the department. I have several new grads on the floor and several more getting ready to start. Does anyone have any ideas on orienting new grads to a specialty area? Has anyone used the ENA's Orientation to Emergency Nursing curriculum? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with the ENA curriculum but consider a GOOD preceptor an absolute must. For maximum effectiveness they must work the same shift all the time. If the preceptor must take PTO he/she should arrange a sub.
