New Grad Residency Children's Health Dallas February 2026 Cohort

Updated:   Published

Starting this discussion for anyone who has applied for the Children's Dallas/Plano Feb 2026 new grad residency. Lets keep each other updated :] Good luck guys!

Has anyone heard back from GI?

Has anyone heard back from critical care units with offers/rejections?

When I received my offer I was told I would be receiving an official offer letter on Friday. My guess would be that they've been calling with offers all week and are waiting for people to accept/decline with Friday being the day those with offers will get letters and those who weren't chosen after interviews will receive rejection emails.

Does anyone know if there are any residencies currently open? My friend missed most of the deadlines for the Winter cohort and I just wanna see if any are open RN

The most recent one that might still be taking applications is for the Methodist Health System. I believe that's the last one in the DFW area, Baylor just closed theirs.

They also have some nurse fellowship openings if she has some experience as a nurse already!

Most have already closed for the year. I would look into JPS or the VA because theirs always open at odd times. The next application cycle will begin opening towards the end of January

I truly don't feel I was given a fair chance to make a good impression during my interview and it really makes me sad

I understand you. When I interviewed this past May for OR they straight up forgot I was coming. They seem totally disengaged during my interview I just knew they weren't going to give me a shot. I applied and interviewed this time and got the unit I really wanted. If this is what you really want don't give up!

Has anyone received the official offer letters yet ?

Congratulations! I plan on applying for Children's July 2026 cohort and was wondering if you'd be open to sharing any tips about the application or interview process.

Be ready for rejection LOL it's HARD to get in. You really have to know someone who already works there just to get pulled for an interview
