I was just reading an article, "50 things HR won't tell you", in the Readers Digest. Two that come to mind and I am paraphrasing, don't come by and drop off resume, it is creepy". And "if you want to work at a certain company, bypass us entirely". Go to the website and read the article. It was a very informative and hilarious read. Peace!
hmmmm, that is interesting to know Chin up. thank you for your input. How do other people feel about this?
If the company website asks that you not make a personal visit and instead apply online, I would strongly recommend that you follow that advice. Multiply your desire to be noticed by the thousands of applicants who feel the same, and you can understand the rationale.
I've seen applicants here who state that they go to the actual hospital floor and "stalk" the nurse manager. In my facility, that would earn you a fast trip out the front door by Security.

I am a new Grad, looking for work. Almost all the hospitals here have you put your application on-line. I really want to work at one particular hospital. I want to approach the human resourse department in person with my resume. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this and what to say so that I come across as a serious hard worker that wants to make a difference in this organization?
Any ideas or suggestions as to how I can "put myself out there" ?
Thanks for any advice
