Here's a link to New Hanover in Wilmington from their website advertising for new grads:
Hi Jam,
The 2 largest hospitals at the NC Coast are New Hanover in Wilmington (near Carolina Beach) and Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach on the NC/SC border- you'll have to check their websites to see if they're teaching hospitals. There are also quite a few smaller hospitals along the Coast, including a fairly new (teeny-tiny one) on the Outer Banks (I think it's in Nags Head - beautiful place). Major teaching hospitals will be about 2 hours away from the Coast - Duke, Chapel Hill, WakeMed.
New-Grad positions are usually for people right out of school with zero experience.
If you have prior experience (even if it's only 6 months) - a lot of hospitals will consider you for positions other than New-Grad.
Hope this helps!!!

Hi, I'm debating a move to NC b/c I have family out there and I'm sick of the winters! I graduated with my BSN in May and am working on a cardiopulmonary unit (hate the BS on the floor) I am wondering if any facilities have opportunities for new grads. I don't know much about the area, but would like to be near the ocean. I also prefer a teaching facility or a facility that has opportunities for professional development.
Any info would be welcome!
