New grad-nurse books and resources

I'm a new grad working on a med-surg floor and am looking for good reference books. Books for new nurses, med-surg disease/conditions, procedures, and lab values. Any suggestions.

I'm just trying to connect the dots.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten any responses yet - maybe it's because most hospitals provide on-line references & resources to use whenever you're at work. My organization has several, but the most widely used is EBSCO's Nursing Reference Center.... tons of information about everything imaginable. We also have DynaMed & MicroMedex on every computer.
