Happy New Year to everyone,

Please i am in deperate need to get an insight on the job market for new grad FNP's in Washington State. I will be graduating from NP school this Summer and relocating to Fort Lewis area ( military Spouse). Is WA saturated like some other states and how is the starting salary? Thanks and i will appreciate any info i can get

It's somewhat saturated depending on what you want to do or what you want to make money wise

Being a new grad you do not have much leverage and many hospitals and clinics around here hire with preference in mind for local schools like UW.

I am an NP student now in WA state. From one of my recent classes, people tend to be rather tight-lipped about salaries here, but I would guess in the 80-90K range for a new grad.

This is a fantastic state to live in if you're interested in residencies. I would apply now if you're looking at getting into one later in the year.

Places you might want to look for jobs, aside form the hospitals and USAJOBs, are Sea Mar and Valley View, in Thurston or Pierce counties.

A friend of mine is in a similar situation, just moved there with military spouse, also a new grad. Had a job within 2 weeks of moving in to her new house.
