I have a BSN, graduated in August 2011, took nclex Sep.20th and landed a job last week. It was not easy! After submitting hundreds of applications in my state and other states including Alaska I received an offer in my own State for an ICU setting.. I have NO RN experience at all. I got tired of just submitting online and one day I took my resumes and drove around hospitals. In one of those hospitals I got an interview on the spot and the next day I knew I had a job:D. Moral of the story "persist, persist, persist, be proactive, proactive, go OUT THERE and visit hospitals (some will close the door in your face but do not take it personally), DO NOT just sit around waiting for a miracle". :)

Congratulations to you for being PRO-ACTIVE......Good things DON'T usually come to those who WAIT, and the squeaky wheel DOES get the grease! Old cliche's, none the less, wise!

Congrats in landing a position in ICU as a New Grad in your State. Great job. I am rethinking to do the same. here in CA. I just got two rejections in a row today. When I get an awesome job too I will surely share my trials.:anpom:
