Hi everyone! New grad here thinking about applying to La county’s ED. Has anyone else applied? Or is anyone currently working there? I’m curious as to what the environment is like and how long the training is for a new grad. There is nothing online about there being an official “new grad program” so I wanted to know if anyone could give me information. Anything helps. Thanks in advance!

I don't have all the certifications (NRP, FHM) yet but I was gonna mention that I'm in the process of getting them LOL I hope that doesn't affect me too much! I'm super nervous
Hi! Which La county hospital are you interviewing for ? I just did an interview for L&D as well

Nice! I did mine at Olive view. It was mostly basic questions like why do you want to work here and why this unit? And talk about your past experience. Also how you contribute to a teamwork environment. I feel like it would be similar questions in La General. Also, Did they tell you how many positions are open? For Olive view I'm not even sure how many they're hiring since the manager wasn't able to tell.

Nice!! Mine is next Tuesday! Did they say when you would get notified if you got the position? I've been reading threads that a lot get notified on the spot or 1-3 days. I'm not sure about how many spots specifically, I'm guessing like 2-4? Also, how many people were in your interview? Was it a panel or group?

I wish you the best of luck! Well the hiring manager didn't know how many people were interviewing for the position since the nurse recruiter are the ones booking them. She said if there won't be any more then she will make a decision by end of the week. There was only 1 another person interviewed the same day as me but we took turns to get interviewed so it was just me and the hiring manager during the interview. That would be great to get hired on the spot, I don't like the waiting game LOL.
