Hello all!
I will be graduating from my community college in Phoenix, Arizona this December. After that I'm immediately entering an RN-BSN online program (still deciding which one). But my best friend just moved to Nashville, TN and after visiting her, I really liked it! I'm curious if anyone knows what the current job market looks like for RNs in Nashville. I haven't decided on what area of nursing yet, since I'm still in block 3 and want to keep an open mind until I'm finished with school... But I'm thinking labor, med-surg or ED.
I'll take any advice for a new grad as well!

There is a new grad nurse residency offered at Vanderbilt which is competitive but offered only to new grads, so positions are offered each cohort (summer and winter)! I think a BSN is the requirement but I am not sure. I applied in January and was offered a position in April. Ended up taking a different offer but I think my cohort had 130 offers! I know there is another very well known hospital out there St Thomas that is considered an exceptional hospital. Otherwise, if you google hospitals in nashville, you can find plenty! Good luck! :)
Ok great, I looked at both of those suggestions. Thank you!

Look at Vanderbilt, Saint Thomas Health, and Tri star hospitals. Also, try the VA. My first job was with the state at MTMHI, I only stayed 3 weeks, but if you are looking and need one fast they hired me quick fast and in a hurry.
Thanks for the response! I'm really liking the St. Thomas option :)
